What does the renewed learning experience in Emma include?

At Kids&Us, we are constantly innovating to offer our students the best possible learning experience: one that is unique, of the highest quality and tailored to their stage of development.

To achieve this, we have combined the best of the classroom environment with the best that cutting-edge technology has to offer; in other words, we have retained the core principles of our method whilst adding an extra layer of technological support.

This is our essence evolved: this is Upgrading the Essence.

What will the children learn in Emma?

In Emma, learning is based on language immersion, play and activities designed to connect with real-life situations that are meaningful to the children.

Through everyday situations and activities that encourage participation and interaction, the children engage with English naturally while:

  • Gaining independence and confidence.

  • Taking part in everyday activities.

  • Learning to express themselves naturally in English.

  • Developing habits and routines whilst playing and interacting with the rest of the group.

What materials will the children have in Emma?

The course material in Emma is designed to spark the children’s curiosity and help families support their learning at home in a simple and natural way.

Student Book

The children will have four books (one per story) to help them practise the English they learn in class at home in an enjoyable and fun way.

  • Stories covered in class that continue at home

  • Games, stickers and activities designed for their age group

  • Simple, intuitive activities, with or without the Talking Pen

Booklet and Little Helper Board

The children will have access to materials designed to support the families while they develop good habits or carry out everyday activities.

  • Booklet: the children will have to bring this to class every day so that the teachers can monitor how often they listen to the audio track, which in turn encourages them to listen to it every day.

  • Little Helper Board: the children will have this material at home to reinforce daily activities such as setting the table or making the bed. Here, you can mark the tasks they help out with during the week to gain autonomy and engagement in daily life.

Kan-do

This cuddly toy will be a friend for the children and help them to consolidate their habits and accompany them while they follow their home routines.

  • It will encourage the little ones to be more independent and to develop good habits.

  • It has four different outfits, one for each course story.

Workbook

The children will use this workbook in class to practise the structures of each story through a range of activities.

  • It visually reinforces the course content.

  • It encourages interaction in the classroom.

My Way

The students will have access to this application, carefully designed to complement the physical material of our method and provide a comprehensive learning experience, which includes:

  • The course audio tracks, an essential routine in the Kids&Us method

  • Supplementary material to work on good habits and encourage collaborating in daily tasks with the help of Kan-do

  • Additional content: games, songs and videos

Talking Pen (complementary)

What’s more, you can increase your children’s exposure to English with this digital pen. Thanks to it, the children will learn to pronounce English in a fun and engaging way at home.

  • It plays audio texts to help the children improve their pronunciation.

  • It brings the characters to life.

  • It’s easy to use: simply place it over the sound spots in the Kids&Us books.
